March 1st R.P.M. Records £5.00. The American version. Different from the British release in terms of tracks I assume. Excuse my ignorance. I've never owned this album in any format. I got it for 5 pounds because the record's badly scratched and the record counter guy is one of those proper people that you only meet behind the counter in record shops. Cheers Rich! It plays fine. It also has bits of Bond type soundtracks between songs, sitar versions of Beatles classics, Help, Ticket to Ride, The Night Before and You're Going To Lose That Girl. Beatles mid-period melody just before they discovered Art. It sounds as if it was a bit rushed but it was a good way to start Sunday morning just now.
I know a few people whose taste I respect who can't abide The Beatles. They've been overplayed for sure. They should really never ever have a front cover of Mojo again. I feel slightly glum every time I see they've got another one. Oasis almost spoiled them for me as they probably did for a few people. But when I put this on just now and hear the melody of The Night Before for the first time for quite a long while it lifted my heart.
