Song of the Day # 53 - Nico

Brian Jones, Federico Fellini, Alain Delon, Bill Evans, Serge Gainsbourg, Lee Strasberg, Andrew Loog Oldham, Jimmy Page, Bob Dylan, Andy Warhol, Lou Reed, Edie Sedgewick, John Cale, Iggy Pop. That's probably just for starters. The best connected woman of the sixties. Written By Canadian singer songwriter Gordon Lightfoot. Recorded for Oldham's Immediate label, (also home for The Small Faces, Amen Corner, PP Arnold and Rod Stewart), in May 1965. Produced by Jones. Page plays 12 string guitar. A beautiful artefact. A song about half hearted commitment. Not a hit but it made it to Morrissey's Desert Island Discs list so all was not lost!
