This is the sound of the suburbs. They're from Ridgewood, New Jersey. Real Estate sounds like a pretty bad name for a band to me. Rather like calling yourself The Accountants. Perhaps that's the point. A record that pays tribute to the beautiful sound that guitars make. Slightly reminiscent to me of The Go Betweens 16 Lovers Lane. Cheers to Rod, my old university mate and great lover of that wonderful band (yes, they named the blog) for tipping me off to this. New for 2014. As should always be written about these things, if you like it please buy!
