A record with the glacial calm / blandness of a Coldplay album may not be high on your list of priorities now or any other time frankly.Dussledorf's finest The Ground Beneath Our Feet parks its tent midway between Coldplay's and Death Cab For Cutie's and basks for 45 minutes.
I'm not making this sound like the most exciting record you're going to hear all year. Well it's not, But I've enjoyed listening to the occasional Coldplay record down the years and I enjoyed listening to this last night.
The record has an innate calm of the kind that you find in an IKEA or John Lewis catalogue. It's impeccably packaged and presented. Very little happens. But if you're inclined to this kind of thng you ddon't really want it to
