Praise the lord. Hitsujibungaku. An all girl rock band from Tokyo whose name translates as Sheep Literature! Latest album 12 hugs (like Butterflies), is sheer delight.
Hitsujibungaku formed at High School on 2011 as freshmen in High School. They've since slimmed down to their three piece core. Their sound is versed in J-Pop, but they clear know their Indie lore.
J-Pop is hardly my go to genre, so I'm afraid I can't be much more informative but I certainly enjoyed listening to 12 hugs (like Butterflies). It's a vibrant, fun record with a huge variety of moods.
