Ryan Fisherman indeed.. Apparently actually a fellow going under the name of Ryan Chin, but he has resolved on the Fusherman thing.
Once a drummer for Indie Electronica act, Doprah, he's since moved into highly eclectic production worl. Meanwhile he puts out excellent records of his own. Country EMO is just the latest example.
How to describe this? It's amiable, characterful left field singer songwriting. Wordy and memorable songs that swirl and swell and coalesce.
In the end, lacking reference points to lay before my reader, I resorted to the man's Spotify playlists; Lawrence Arabia, Nadia Reid, Tiny Ruins. That will do 'A man of style and taste.'
The good records keep on comng. It's almost Chrustmas and the tide keeps flowing in. Best not to question ir ir try or conrain it. Just make the most of it.
I came across him randomly via Spotify in the last week or so. Like what I've heard, so must listen to the album. Another random discovery was Chester Jonson, although can't find a thing about him online. Also, there's the Positive People album. Pretty sure you introduced me to them?
