Ce Je Ne Sais Quoi is classy in the way only French Pop records can be. Remember your Serge, Your Farncoise? Your Jacques? his hits home in the way only those things can. Sprinkle a little more recent Indie variations. Jarvis, Laetitia. My current favourites En Attendant Ana. And you're sorted. Avec du gaz....
All in all this is a really fine record. You may have neglected your O Level. Or GCSE French. Didn't we all. This may remind you of your youth. Or if you're still young make you size it and book a long weekend with your loved one on the left bank. Sante!
