Song of the Day # 2,734 The Lodger

Begun from a bedsit in Leeds in 2004, The Lodger returned after a long layoff with an album Cul-De-Sac of Love, earlier on this year. This comes from it. Very English, with vocal delivery somewhere between Neil Tennant and Ian Broudie and a clipped, early Eighties, white funk musical backdrop. It's neat and to the point.
