Rock Erickson's painful personal journey is well documented. Sometimes it's so near to the knuckle that I find it hard to put myself through it. Walking with zombies and two headed dogs and such like, because it's not being played for laughs these are very real demons being represented. The experience is also so intense that the music side also often veers on the edge of heavy metal which never does much for me. This though hits the spot. Great title. Great vocal. John Fogerty's unhinged country cousin. Also, strangely from the mid-eighties when it must have seemed incredibly out of place.
