Covers Crime # 1 - Darts

In the late '70s bands that should have stayed forever on the working men's club circuit like Darts and Showaddywaddy inexplicably broke hugely big in the UK and found themselves high in the charts and on Top of the Pops virtually every other week. They maintained this appalling set of affairs by raiding their record boxes for obscure and largely forgotten hit records from the fifties and early sixties. They ruined a lot of great songs for me for many years until I gradually began to track down some of the originals. Remember them this way:

1.Gene Chandler -Duke of Earl

2. The Ad Libs - Boy From New York City

3. The Wrens - Come Back My Love

4.The Rays - Daddy Cool

5. The Four Seasons - Let's Hang On
