Every band there's ever been gets a book written about them or gets to wtite their own book at some point. It seems to be an unwritten law of Rock & Roll. Now here is the World of Twist's written by guitarist Gordon King. The band didn't have any hits or appear on Top of the Pops. Still they produced a fine album, Quality Street which I stil enjoy playing once in a while. They were Roxy Music if they'd hailed from Manchester and dressed in charity shop outfits.The Pulp that never made it
The first chapters are familiar. Tales of growing up in provincial England in the Sixties and Seventies. In King's case falling under the spell of Yes and Prog. His biggest regrest seems to be not the lack of fame so much as the fact thatthe band never got to play the stage show they dreamed of putting on.
