It's difficult to know what to say about this really. Except to say it's not nearly as good as the records Talk Talk went on to make. The Party's Over is all dressed up fot 1982's fabulous pop party. But it's mannered po faced, inessential and not actually as good as Duran Duran's Rio. From this point on they left the Durranies trauling in heir wake and laid down a series of genuine artistic statements. You wouldn't have heard it coming listening to The Party's Over when it came out.
