Session Victim are, according to their Spotify biog, one of Germany's most prolific and accomplished house music duos. That is a good starting point to listen to their latest abum, Low Key, Low Pressure. It's a record with dance floor syncopations. An easy one to listen to.
I listened to it in full this morning. Billed as 'an anathema to roday's fast paced industry driven musical landscape.' That frankly seems just about right. Hauke Freer and Matthias Relling apparently have a seies of pinball highscores in and around Berlin.
All of this is highly compelling. Essentially though the core to the record's appeal is in its lack of urgency of any descriptin whatsoever. The mood varies little from track to track. This all seems essentially about 'getting in the zone.' Precisely what this does over a course of slightly over thirty five minutes. 'if it ain't broke' as the man says.
