Maastricht's finest. Well perhaps I should be upfront with you. Yin Yin are currently the only Maastricht band I'm aware of but they are mighty fine and encourage further investigation into the scene.
They're certainly an attractive proposition. One you can imagine yourself coming across by chance one evening on a long Air B & B weekend with your hon sampling the Maastricht downtown nightlife thang,
Picture the scene. You walk together down the winding stairwell to a basement club. Step inside and there they are. Yin Yin. Cool as cucumbers. Cool as fuck. Strutting their stuff on the low stage. Maastrict groovers packing the dancefloor in front of them. Afros, flares and platform boots.
Yin Yin take notes from the Thai Rock Psych scene evidently. They've also clearly listened to the occasional Shadows record and there's nowt wrong with that. This is funky way to start a morning pure and simple. Get with the beat Baggy!
