I've always loved this one ever since I first cottoned on to Steely Dan and invested in a Best of. If there are fifteen songs of theirs which I like as much as this I look forward to hearing them over the next fortnight. This reeks of genuine sophistication and intelligence far beyond any that I can ever hope to muster. Steely Dan were proper grown ups. Proper adults. You think you can write . I think my writing's OK sometimes, I would never claim I could write like this. Fagen and Becker leave most others in the dust generally.
