The Smiths compilations are of course every bit as essential as their studio albums. So I gave this a listen. I'd woken early because I've got a journey today. It took me from five to six and was like going to a funfair in full giddy motion first thing in the morning.
People discount The Smiths and doing so they discount Morrissey. In the words of this album title. They're not listening. Ultimately it's their loss.There's no point talking to someone who lacks ears. Tgey are one of those bands who cannot be repeated because they were simply too good for words. Please, do not say they are depressing.
