Beeswing, the first part of Richard Thompson's memoirs is an immediately magical experience. He focuses from the get go on the music, within twenty five pages Fairport Convention have formed and are seeking their own path. The opening chapters are a rich, heady evocation of growing up in London's leafy suburbs.
