Rich pickings in terms of new album releases this week. And as if it's not rich enough here come another gang from Melbourne. Melbourne has seemed like on of the best places to be music wise since Courtney showed up clutching Avant Gardener like some entirely new colour over ten years back now.
Karen Took The Kids, and what a name that is, seem pretty fresh themselves, Fever te opening track of their latest EP Career Pulp is one of the most invigorating things I've hears so far this year, and the three remaining tracks more than rise to its challenge.
Like Courtney they've learned something from Kurt. We all should. Their songs surge, and rise and fall like early Nirvana with considerable energy and passion. This will more than do and we can but wait for what comes next.
