Song(s) of the Day # 2,637 Dillon Warneck

Country & Western is a music that explores the same very well worn paths, regardless of whether we're talking about the mainstream or the alternative and more adventurous fringes of the genre.

As for me, while I have plenty of time for Gram, Johnny, Townes, Waylon and George, it's not a tradition I'm particularly steeped in or would liked to be solely immersed in for extended periods without recourse to other kinds of music.

Dillon Warneck, from Nashville, Tennessee no less ,specialises in a particular avenue of this particular state. Last chance saloon, the end of the night and the view through the bottom of the glass just before the barman refuses to serve you any more.

His new record Now That It's all Over picks over these same scabs one too many times for my liking but there are a few songs that did work well and I've posted them here.

P.S. One true classic on here. That's Tuesday 5th. Make sure you hear that one.
