The Seeds, like The Ramones ten years later built their name on variations of one song. There was more to them than that of course but this was the essential idea. Drug saturated teenage frustration. Listen to their first album and it's eleven variations on Pushin' Too Hard and then Can't Seem To Make You Mine their other great moment. As with The Ramones, dumbness, or at least feigned dumbness is the central core of their appeal.
