In 1994 Morrissey got together with one of his heroes, Siouxsie Sioux to record a duet. They chose to do Timi Yuro's Interlude. Naturally, they didn't get along, but they certainly can't be criticised in terms of their taste. Yuro is one of the great go-to artists for the dramatically romantically inclined. Yuro's original recording was for a soundtrack for the 1968 film of the same name, starring Oskar Werner, Barbara Ferris and Donald Sutherland and also featuring John Cleese and Derek Jacobi in minor roles.
