A true visionary in many respects. A documenter of working class English life and mental health issues and a man who obviously suffered in both respects. Was he ever truly considered as the next lead singer of The Doors after Morrison passed? We'll probably never know. Still uncomfortably close to the knuckle. And that's the way he'd want it!
