I was a bit worse for wear late last night, put this on and it rather scared be in terms of its sheer consciousness. Very few others got anywhere close. It's probably not talking about a revolution on the streets but rather a revolution in the mind, No less revolutionary for all that. The influence of just this song, (only one of many classics in Scott Heron's back catalogue), but surely his defining statement, is incalculable.
