Songs About People # 124 B.S. Johnson

Pernice Brothers song about a pretty one-off British author of the sixties and seventies who was much beloved by university campus professors when I attended mine in the eighties. A very particular character and legacy, he killed himself partly in frustration at the whole life process, partly I imagine because he wasn't accorded the respect he deserved. Jonathan Coe, who wrote his biography and The Pernice Brothers here tried to make some amends.
