I cared about the Top 40 until about 1984. And then it gradually became less important to me; as the Top 40 got worse and I became more interested in other things. Sting meanwhile was becoming interested in Jazz. Moon Over Bourbon Street was a variation on Autumn Leaves with Literary aspirations. It's nestled outside my Top 40.
