It's been one hell of a year. I've never known one quite like it. I've turned 60. Made connections with old valued friends from Christmas past !. Travelled. Formed invaluable reconnections. with old friends and regrettably severed connections with others because I felt it time to do so. Worked hard. Striven to improve. Somehow I've managed to write on here every day. Though it's been difficult sometimes. The world keeps turning. Life is the great adventure.
In Christmas morning as on Christmas Eve I'm listening to Lido Pimenta's magnificent La Belleza, my favourite album of 2025. I somehow knew it was as soon as I first heard it months back. It does everything I want great music and culture to do. It's a strident, incredibly passionate and romantic statement.. It speaks to and of the ages.
I don't speak Spanish but perhaps I need to learn. All three of It Starts With a Birthstone's Top Three albums thus year have been in the Spanish tongue. They all fill me with wonder and awe. Inspiration. A Merry Christmas to you all. Wherever you are !
