Los Angeles artist Caroline Loveglow nails her colours to the mast straight away on the opening notes of debut album Strawberry. It's sweeter than sweet, appropriate given its title. Dream Pop as it's generally termed now, for fans of Cocteau Twins and Slowdive as they settle in to middle age.
Personally neither of those artists have ever been particular go to ones for me. I always found them slightly innocuous and decorative, so Strawberry, as the AOR radio 2022 version is hardly likely to get another play. It all feels utterly and tastefully assembled. Still, the half an hour I spent in its company was perfectly amiable.
