A flawed but fun EP release called Over & Over from Sheffield musician Rose Love. Plenty of archetypal Steel City vim and vigor on the four tracks here though the quality is slightly variable.
Best of all is probably opening track Parallel which is all late Friday night drama. Father's Daughter keeps up the atmosphere pace, finding a sweet spot between Moloko and Chicory Tip.
I'll post third track Draginfly separately as it's a cover of a long term favourite of mine. Closer The Scandal let's the side down by forgetting to have fun, or perhaps be fun, or have much discernible shape. But all in all this marks Love out as a name to watch..
