The 'Don gets found out' episode at the end of Series 3. The makers of Mad Men are particularly adept at understanding that the Broadway musicals of the time were the soundtrack of the suburbs. And that this song belongs just as much to the adult state of mind as the child's. Don and Betty go trick or treating with the children and a neighbour asks who Don is supposed to be, to his ashen, dumbstruck face. He looks like he's about to cry.
