Songs About People # 97 Bob Dylan

And the second song posted below took me here. To David Peel & the Lower East Side who somehow managed to get themselves a deal with Elektra Records in the late sixties, partly thanks to great punk mover and shaker Danny Fields, and sell the best part of a million records or more of this kind of decidedly low-fi stuff. A real forerunner of Punk and of course what Lewis himself does now. Here's Peel's tribute to Bob from his 1972 album The Pope Smokes Dope.
