'Given Tina's latter day revelations about Ike's activities as slave-driver and wife-beater, the concept (she's trying to trap him into getting hitched) could hardly be more ironic. Her hoarse shrieks now have an entirely different meaning, as do his drawled professions of winking innocence.The arrangement is still driven on by Ike's twanging blues guitar though, which maybe makes 'It's Gonna Work Out Fine' the final truth that horrible humans can make great music.'
