500 Greatest Albums of the 2000's # 371 Kings of Leon - Youths and Young Manhood

An album that seemed unfeasibly exciting when I first heard it on its release in 2003. It was as far away from Creedence, the Allman Brothers and their bearded brethren  as it is from now. It's title reads like a Penguin Classic spine and the songs match it in quixotic, addled fervor.  It still sounds great. They should have stopped.
