A few times over the course of a lifetime you will hear an artist who immediately makes your attenae alert. Who have a voice of their own and make you realise, yese. that's one to follow. That person has something to say.
Such was the case when I first heard Courtney Barnett in 2013. Avant Gardener and it's accompanying video if you want specifics. Since then I've seen her twice and liked every record. She's thoughtful and questions her own emotions as well as those of the world around her. What more could you want.
