You had to be into Talking Heads if you were coming of age in the early Eighties. They were the great educators. About music. About life. About ;ooking beyond the obvious. Blinding record after blinding record.
Between 1977 and 1985 their march was pretty relentless. I bought all those albums. Either at the time or in retrospect. They explored a hidden terrain and mindset. Thinking outside the box. An approach we need to keep learning from. Discovering. Exploration.
Little Creatures ca,e at the end of that astonishing Imperial run. One not quite like any other in musical history. That I know of. There were tensions within the band. Byrne and Eno. And the others. We're stilfinding out about it. Read Chris Frantz's Remain In Love. It's not easy to remain in love.
