Portland, Oregon's Shadowgraph's new record Another Time carves out a new psychedelia which has it's traces roots back to records from the poppier end of 1967's trip, Barrett's Floyd, Strawberry Alarm Clock and Question Mark & the Mysterians.
There are also echoes of The Paisley Underground, the early Eighties LA Scene. 3 O'clock and Rain Parade come to mind at various points during Another Time. The young Bobby Gillespie might have shaken his tambourine and exhaled 'Woo!' to much of this too. It's the soundtrack to a trip that doesn't involve taking any actual drugs and it's all rather enjoyable for all that.
