A look back through time from America in 2016 to a historical figure of stature, and Afro-American role model, Thurgood Marshall, who was appointed to the Supreme Court by Lyndon Johnson in 1967 and in many ways lived a life that mapped out and almost symbolised the changes and steps forward made in America during the course of the twentieth century. This call out to him comes from the strident and rather splendid St. Lenox album Ten Hymns from my American Gothic.
