Stan Tracey

As part of my nocturnal activities I went to a local jazz club last night to see the Safe Sextet a local jazz ensemble led by Don Forbes who have been playing in the region for many years. They were playing selections from Stan Tracey a great British musician and arranger who died just recently. It was really to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Tracey's album Under Milk Wood one of the best British records ever made. Here meanwhile is a picture of Laugharne where Dylan Thomas wrote the original Under Milk Wood which acted as partial inspiration.
