Cale's first album sounds like sloppy early Glam before the event on Colombia Records. Cale himself is dismissive of the album saying essentially he's trying on clothes in an attempt to find a voice. but it works for me. It's artistic, bohemian has a set of great tunes which swing from melancholy to whimsy.
