Songs About People # 171 Jim Carroll

I'm currently re-reading Please Kill Me, that great oral document, telling the tale of American Punk and the people who converged around it during the sixties and seventies. Jim Carroll, poet, hustler and artist is a big player in this story. Writer of The Basketball Diaries, accomplice and lover of Patti Smith and a great raconteur. Here's a song about him from Luke Haines' recent album about those days, New York in the Seventies.
