A band that didn't quite get its due in its day but now bathe in a semi mystical Independent glow.. The roster of bands on Postcard Records were all saintly and put out a set of startling records. Josef K were from Glasgow by contrast with Orange Juice and Aztec Camera who hailed from Glasgow and The Go Betweens from Brisbane, Australa. They took their name from a Franz Kafka character and their sound was appropriately literary, European, imtense and erm angular.Bands that deal in this disciplined, fevered geometry are rare.
