Listening to Can albums can frequently be like exploring lunar terrains. Take Soon Over Baluma; released in 1974 after the departure of Damo Suzuki who was responsible for so much that was distinctive about the band. But this is a seamless response to him leaving. Michael Karoli and Irmin Schmidt took over vocals and frankly sounded rather like Damo. Many of the tracks here sound like cult exorcisms.
