Bands had good names when I was growing up. They still do but you can't help concluding that the well must run dry one day. Still 1979- 83 wasa goldmine. Scars, Josef K, Cravats, Heaven 17. People read stuff. Watched films. Weren't content. OK. Nothing's changed !
Scars is a magnificent jerky album with a fantastic sleeve and general package . The band are itemised and like Sister Sledge and Iggy Pop. And dislike running out of fags and Status Quo. They are ruined youth. And all the more seminal for it.
