It's no great revelation to say that much of the best Rock & Roll focuses on the glorious years of adolescence and the late teenage years. The moments in life when you experience the great revelations and change and from which point things are destined to never be the same. This is what Belle & Sebastian came into being to document and continue to obssess over. They did what the best bands do. They created a small minutely detailed and descriptive world. One that people could lose themselves in. .
