Cover Versions of Femme Fatale # 14 Genevieve Waite

Genevieve Waite was an interesting one. Muse for photographer Richard Avedon who took several shoots for her which were published in the pages of Vogue in the early Seventies. Waite moved on from Avedon to John Phillips ex of the Mamas & Papas. They were married by a one legged bhuddist priest at a restaurant in LA's Chinatown. Waite recorded and released her only record under Phillip's tutelage in 1974.

The cover of Femme Fatale attempted here is dumb. The song if Betty Boop had had a go at it. Waite pours a big bag of sugar into a large glass. It's not very good really. But this is a song with a big heart. Big enough for even this interpretation.
