Song(s) of the Day # 2,297 Devon Williams

In terms of hitting an immediate bullseye, Devon Williams had managed this remarkable feat in terms of my affections within five minutes of the opening song of his latest album, A Tear in the Fabric. I new immediately and gloriously where I was. Early Aztec Camera territory. One of my very favourite places to be.

The record didn't really venture off this path at any stage really. It continued to remind me of early Aztec Camera. The reminder is inevitable, constant and unshakeable. So not really an album I could recommend for its innovative and pioneering qualities. Just for its warm and melodic qualities. After all, why should this not be more than enough.
