Songs Heard on the Radio # 283 Al Stewart

Not at my home base now but staying for Christmas and New Year with my parents in Canterbury. My father has a lie in every morning and listens to Radio 2 and I can hear the songs they play through the walls of our rooms. It's a surprisingly hip station, nothing like the staid one I remember listening to in my childhood in the Seventies when they only seemed to play Helen Reddy. Here's something I heard just now, not hip perhaps but certainly very good, something I've always liked and one that reminds me again of a very important friend who passed late last year. One of my most important 'music' friends.
