Apple Boutique were a little known and even less remembered outfit on Creation Records in the late eighties. Largely the brainchild of indie stalwart Phil King who played at various points in Felt, Biff Bang Pow!, The Servants, Lush and The Jesus Mary Chain, Apple Boutique recorded this instrumental tribute, (very much following Felt's melodic template) to the slightly doomed former Shadows bassist.This track, along with umpteen other obscure British indie gems is included on the C88 collection, just released on the Cherry Red label.
