Antipodean bands became more important to be as the Eighties progressed. The Go Betweens. The Triffids. The Chills. The Clean. Then there was Men At Work, who had a couple of big hits in 1981. Men from a land down under.
Frankly they were not essential and rather annoying. A sing with a Sting yelp. A band that could have been assembled from a building site by the sound of them. This is rather workaday and reticent amd they never plunb emotional or poetic depths.
