Song(s) of the Day # 1,869 The Outskirts

Made famous, ( or at least slightly better known), by Mitch Easter's band Let's Active when they covered it on their fine album Cypress. I only discovered this, the original version a few days back. It's very similar in almost every way to Let's Active's take on it. Except I'd say the Outskirts version is better. Which begs a question. Is the Let's Active track a great act of pop archeology, bringing to light a fine, largely forgotten song? Or just larceny. The jury's out!

The Outskirts were a short lived English outfit who left little behind them little save for Blue Line and it's B Side, also a short, sharp burst of sound which I've posted here too.
