Jacques Loussier, a fine and very specific musician has passed recently. Probably best known for his jazz re-workings of Bach, he created a lot of beautiful music over a long career. For myself and for a friend I discussed him with briefly on hearing about his passing I shared an appreciation of him with my father who is fortunately still with us. I'll discuss Loussier with him when I call this afternoon. For more on his work, ( Loussier's of course, not my dad) go here. I posted a Satie piece here rather than Bach. Because it sounds just wonderful at this time in the morning.
